These are just a select few of the common warning lights that can appear on your vehicles dash board, Diagnostic warning lights where designed to tell you the driver there is something wrong with a particular system so you can then book your vehicle in to have the fault diagnosed and repaired.
We use the latest diagnostic equipment to aid us in our fault finding including Autologic, Bosch and Dealer Tools. You may well have heard of the term “fault code” or DTC (diagnostic trouble code). These codes are generated by a vehicle’s many control modules to identify an area in that electronic system that is faulty, these codes do not always tell us what the actual fault is but give us an area to start our investigation then carry out further diagnostic testing possibly using our Pico or Bosch Oscilloscope. The very latest vehicles can have up 60 control modules, these sometimes only require a software update to cure a ‘fault’ so the importance of having the most up to date diagnostic equipment is second to none.
We can carry out diagnostic work on ALL types of systems, not just engine work. Some examples are: Anti Lock Brakes (ABS), Safety Restraint Systems (SRS) Airbag, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Climate control, Cruise control, Xenon lighting, Central locking and much more. Please enquire for details.
If your vehicle engine warning light is illuminated, this could be an emissions related fault, you could be using more fuel and this in turn will cause long term damage to your catalytic converter which can be very expensive to repair.
